Is the Osa Peninsula right for you?

Updated: Feb 5, 2018

When people inquire about visiting the Osa, I always try to give them as much information about the area as possible so they can decide whether or not the Osa is the right spot for their vacation.  Information such as: our property is off the grid, there are more monkeys than people, 4×4 is required for getting around, Puerto Jimenez is 16km away and is the nearest town, and the houses are open air are all important details about the area that guest should know before visiting.

While the Osa is the perfect place for me, I also understand that it’s not for everyone.

Here’s a couple of questions you can ask yourself before visiting.  If you answer yes to most of these, then you should come visit!

  • Are you a fan of nature and wildlife?

  • Do you like surfing warm water with gentle waves?

  • Are you adventurous?

  • Do you look to vacation in remote/non-touristy areas?

  • Are you open to an off the grid experience?  This means no microwaves, dishwashers, or blow dryers.

  • Are you ok with bumpy dirt roads?

  • Most of all…. Are you ready to relax, disconnect, and find the true meaning of Pura Vida?
